On Tuesday, Feb 16th, RSYP will be hosting an open drum workshop inviting anyone to come and join in the rhythm. Master instructor Felipe Brun will facilitate the workshop in hopes if finding people interested in starting a drum ensemble. Drums will be provided, but feel free to bring your own drums, bells, shakers, etc… If you have never tried or have been drumming forever, come join in one of the oldest communal practices and donate your rhythm to the group!

January is National Mentoring Month!
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010
National Mentoring Month is the time each year when our nation spotlights the importance of mentors and the need for every young person to have a caring adult in his or her life. Research has shown that programs that rely on volunteer mentors can play a powerful role in reducing drug abuse and youth violence while greatly enhancing a young person’s prospects for leading a healthy and productive life.
When you serve as a mentor, you enrich your own life as much as you do the life of a young person. Become a mentor today!
Contact Jeanette at 413-528-2475 or Jeanette@rsyp.org for more information about becoming a mentor in our community.
National Mentoring Month is spearheaded by the Harvard Mentoring Project of the Harvard School of Public Health, MENTOR and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
