Join us as we plan RSYP’s BIGGEST BASH YET!
As you know, our beloved Railroad Street Youth Project will celebrate our 10th anniversary this winter. I am writing to you all now in hopes that you will SAVE THE DATE for the weekend of May 14-16, 2010 to come back to good ol’ GB and celebrate with us. The planning has just begun, but here’s a snapshot of the line-up for the weekend:
Friday, May 14th, 7pm: a party thrown by the board for all former and current staff and constituents
Saturday, May 15th, 1pm-6pm: a line-up of workshops, forums, activities (any of which may be facilitated by former staff or constituents)
Examples: mural painting project, a dance workshop, forum for youth to speak directly with town officials, a meeting of the RSYP founding team, a reunion of everyone who went to Peru, a mentor/mentee soccer match, a skate competition, tour of Project Native, etc. The list is totally up to those who wish to lead an activity, and we hope that YOU WILL!
Saturday night, 8pm-11pm: Higher Organix concert and other RSYP past and present musicians and performers with a supersonic dance party in a tent behind the Schneider Youth Building
Sunday, 1:30-2:30p: RSYP 10th Anniversary CELEBRATION at the Mahaiwe
Sunday, 3pm-4:30p: 2010 SubUrbia performance
Again, I just wanted to start by inviting you to SAVE THE DATE May 14-16, 2010 and join us in celebrating 10 years of empowering Berkshire County youth!
Please contact me, Mira Hilbert or Deb Phillips if you’d like to join our planning committee!!
